What Clients are Saying

Regardless of the size of your company, good legal advice is critical for success. However this can often be very challenging for growing companies as the legal and business risks change and often become intertwined. All too often early stage companies rely too heavily on the board and/or past experience which may not directly apply and is often out of date. While I was CEO at Visicon we went through two different legal teams but were still concerned about the quality of our legal advice. That is, until we brought on Jenny Lynn Sheridan as a member of the senior team as a contract General Counsel. Yes, Jenny is a very experienced and successful lawyer but more than this Jenny understands entrepreneurs and the changing needs of a growing company. Here are just a few of the projects Jenny helped us with: Patents and IP: She proactively worked with our CTO to rationalize patent our portfolio and focus on strategically valuable patents; launched a disclosure program with engineering team to increase patentable inventions; and Marketing to match international trademark portfolio with overseas sales. China Expansion: Jenny coordinated legal and business teams in China and US to set up company's WOFE in China. People: She managed employee matters including terminations, RIF and WARN analysis, and workplace investigation. Growth: Jenny also helped recruit and train a contracts manager, drafted and negotiated strategic licensing transactions and advised the board on legal matters I highly recommend Jenny to any founder, CEO or CFO in a growing company that finds themselves second guessing their legal team and/or is spending far too much time on legal matters.

I had the pleasure of working with Jenny Lynn at my last tech startup business acquired by Oracle. She came highly recommended by our Board Member, and what struck me was her quick grasp of, and sensitivity to the specific needs of our business. She was super-efficient, excellent at contract negotiations, and saved us a great deal of time and legal costs. Her advice was very practical, right on point on what really mattered to the business e.g. IP protection, securing / retaining rights to improvements based on joint work with clients. We were negotiating with major enterprise brands, and she made us seem a lot bigger than we were. She took over from our outside counsel (a well known Silicon Valley law firm) that was simply not delivering in the licensing / contracts area, and costing us a great deal of money (not to mention hours spent on very inefficient work). I would highly recommend Jenny to any B2B SaaS tech CEO who's seeking a seasoned senior legal counsel without the large "branded law firm" costs, who gets things done quickly and efficiently.
